Is Charitable Giving Part of Your Life?

Posted by Katie on February 4 at 11:30 AM
When you think of giving to charity most of you probably think of giving a monetary donation. While money is always welcomed to support a charity’s mission, there are other ways to give.

JustGive.org is a nonprofit organization “…whose mission is to increase charitable giving by connecting people with the charities and causes they care most about most.” By doing this, JustGive.org hopes that people will incorporate charitable giving into their everyday lives.

Think of what you are passionate about … in what ways can you give to an organization that is fulfilling for you and meaningful to them. If you want to think outside of the box, but don’t know where to start, visit JustGive.org’s “Ways to Give” section. There are countless ideas there to spark your interest.

Whether it’s the adorable puppy’s face

Or the innocent child

Or the desire to save the planet

The point is simple … Just Give! It's important to take time today to think of ways you can give back.

A small amount goes a long way, and you can literally see it in action. Micro lending can be done through:

I'm a more direct type of guy.

1) I don't believe in paying with change... so I collect a growing pile of coin in my pocket every day.

2) As I pass New York's many homeless people, I fish into my pocket and give the change to them.

I also give via events that I attend for charitable causes (that sounds a lot classier than it really is. Trust me.)
